Job Description:
Early Intervention Program: St. Joseph’s Early Intervention Program offers guidance to infants and toddlers ranging from birth to 3 years old. Collaborative teams of specialized educators provide personalized instruction to both children and their families within the comfort of their own homes, aiding them in adapting to and overcoming any visual impairments, whether partial or complete.
Duties:
- Assist families in implementing/carrying through goals and strategies to help children aged birth - 3 years of age with blindness/visual impairment and/or additional disabilities develop to their fullest potential.
- Provide support and guidance to the family.
- Services are provided in the home.
- Must have your own transportation and be willing to work in the following counties: Hudson, Union, Essex, Bergen, Passaic, Sussex, and Morris County.
Pay: $95.00 per contact hour
Requirements/Qualifications:
- New Jersey Department of Education Certification – Teacher of the Visually Impaired (Required)
- Bachelors – Special Education
- Must have a minimum of one year’s experience as a certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
