Brief Job Description:

Full-Time opening for Art Teacher in a private school for students with learning and behavioral/emotional disabilities in Union County, grades K through 12. This is an 11 1/2-month position which includes the summer extended program.

The Special Education Art Teacher is responsible for providing a therapeutic and instructional art program tailored to students with diverse learning, emotional, and behavioral needs. The goal is to use art as a medium for self-expression, motor skill development, and academic engagement while maintaining a safe, structured classroom environment.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in art education
• Certification: Valid State Teaching Certification in Art (e.g., K-12)

Preferred but not required.

•  Special Education Endorsement (e.g., Teacher of Students with Disabilities).
